Sculptural project representative of the Eixample district of Barcelona seen from an aerial view. It is composed of 63 “Islands”, which represent the distribution of the streets and buildings of this area. Each island is composed of smaller pieces of corian strategically placed and combined.
Below is an example of one of the islands, which is empty inside to reduce weight as it is a very heavy material. Also shown are the number of pieces, shape and colors that each island contains.
